An Intelligent Wearable e-Belt for Continuous Monitoring of Sinus Rhythm
Arun.P, Amala M.C, Anjaly M, Githin T.S, Jomin J

Abstract
In this paper, we propose a GSM based non-invasive wearable physiological parameters monitoring system. The system can be used to monitor parameters such as temperature and heart rate of a human subject. This system is worn on the waist by an at-risk person. The person is monitored using several sensors and data is sent wirelessly. The device detects if a person is medically distressed and sends message to the hospital, ambulance and relatives. An alarm is set, which helps the user to alert the people around. This intelligent e-belt is helpful for physically challenged and elderly people and also reliable and accurate.

Evaluation of Building Component for Strategic Facilities Management
Nima Amani

Abstract
Building facilities networks are complex in nature due to the large number of diverse, interrelated components, and systems involved. Hence fundamental changes related to component condition assessment must take place in many areas. The traditional approaches to building component management exhibit a high level of subjectivity and dependence on adequate resources. This research has, therefore, introduced a novel process that makes the component management process more structured, optimum time, and optimum cost. The purpose of this study is to develop a process for component management assessment basing on the existing budget. This research presented not only a process but also the framework and techniques to manage and improve assessment management effectiveness and efficiency in component of public building.

Key Management for Security in Wireless Networks
Urvashi Sangwan

Abstract
Wireless Sensor Network (WSNs) have a vast field of applications, including environment monitoring, battlefield surveillance and targeting system. As WSNs are usually deployed in remote or even hostile environments and sensor node are prone to node compromise attacks, the adoption of dynamic key management is extremely important. However, there source-constrained nature of sensor nodes hinders the use of dynamic key management solutions designed for wired and adhoc networks. Hence, many dynamic key management schemes have been proposed for WSNs recently. This paper investigates the special requirements of dynamic key management in sensor network environment, and introduces several basic evaluation metrics. In this work, the state of the art dynamic key management schemes are classified into different groups and summarized based on the evaluation metrics. Finally, several possible future research directions for dynamic key management are provided.

Performance Evaluation of Cage and Skip Winder Ropes in a Uranium Mines using Two Nondestructive Testing Instruments
Debasish Basak and Bubun Das

Abstract
Electromagnetic nondestructive evaluation/testing (NDE/NDT) of wire rope has been in use for over fifty years. The electromagnetic nondestructive test is defined to be any test or measurement method for inspecting or evaluating materials or products which does not adversely affect their serviceability and which use the effects for electromagnetic induction, electromagnetic fields, or varying currents for probing, measuring or inspecting. Regular NDE inspections provide a powerful tool in monitoring the rate of degradation of a rope. The effective technology for these devices depends on the magnetic properties of steel wire rope. An attempt has been made in this paper to evaluate the performance of cage and skip winder ropes in a uranium mines in India.

Sentiment Analysis Techniques - A Comparative Study
Haseena Rahmath P, Tanvir Ahmad

Abstract
The growing popularity of E-commerce, social medias, forums, blogs etc. created a new platform where anyone can discuss and exchange his/her views, ideas , suggestions and experience about any product or services. This trend accumulated a huge amount of user generated data on the web. If this content can be extracted and analyzed properly then it can act as a key factor in decision making. But manual extraction and analysis of this content is an impossible task, as the content is unstructured in nature and it is written in natural language. This situation opened a new area of research called Opinion Mining and Sentiment Analysis. Opinion Mining and Sentiment Analysis is an extension of Data Mining that extracts and analyzes the unstructured data automatically. The main motive of this paper is to discuss the key concept used in Opinion Mining and Sentiment Analysis and also presents a comparative analysis of various techniques used in this area.

Wavelets and its Various Uses in Image Processing
Urvashi Sangwan

Abstract
Along with the development of information technology, digital signal have ruled the world of signal processing. This development in digital signal processing has motivated research in analog to digital transformations in various fields. Digital image processing is also one such field. Wavelet transform has become one of the most powerful tool of signal representation. Nowadays, it has been used in image processing, data compression, and signal processing. This paper introduces basic concepts for Wavelet Transforms and some applications of Wavelet Transform.
